Dear students,
today we are exploring how wikis can be used for language learning in class. The product will be a wiki page with commented links about good resources for language teachers.
Procedure:
- Register on del.icio.us
- Research bookmarks about wikis for education and language learning
- Explore the websites and add the ones you find most helpful to your delicious tags
- Write wiki entries about the websites you find most helpful: add the link and describe what the reader can find there
- Write a post in your blog: What new aspects have you learned about using web 2.0 tools? How could this help you as a language teacher? Which of the researched sites did you like most and why did you like it most?
The most helpful resource I have found was English online.
There can find ideas for interactie activities. Teachers find material for classroom projects and lesson plans. There are ideas for complete units to use as techers as well as options for students to exchange and get feed back on own productions.
The material is designed for all age levels and focuses on text production and literacy.
The website has an attractive design that is easy to understand.
